Project Manager: SALARY UP TO 65K

Electro chlorination Engineering: BICESTER Oxfordshire

Part of a major multinational desalination EPC with sales and engineering offices in Chennai and Dubai, Cumberland is a small company, at the cutting edge of electro chlorination plant design and manufacture. Our products are used across a wide range of industries for the treatment of large quantities of water to prevent bio fouling. At our Bicester HO, with our multicultural workforce, we both design and assemble electro chlorination plant for large international companies in the off shore wind sector, oil and gas, power generation and desalination industries.

Due to significant anticipated growth in our project workload in the near future, we have a requirement for an experienced Project Manager, based at in Bicester, to lead the planning and implementation of our projects, working closely with other senior managers in the business. Reporting to the Operations Director, your key accountabilities will lie in the areas of developing plans and estimating resources, managing project execution, managing stakeholders and getting the best from your team colleagues right across the business.

You will have around 5 to 7 years post-trainee mechanical project engineering experience in a manufacturing and export environment, preferably in power generation or water treatment projects. We need you to have, at a minimum, a BTEC National Diploma in Engineering and ideally an AIMech Eng. You must be computer Literate with working knowledge and understanding of various Microsoft windows packages, particularly Microsoft Project & Excel. A formal project management qualification would be helpful.

Other key desired attributes include, good negotiation abilities, coupled with well-developed influencing and relationship building talents. Proven commercial instincts and a basic understanding of quality and process controls (SPC) are also important. It is essential that you have excellent communication abilities and high degree of fluency in written and spoken English. It will be a busy role and your ability to remain focused on priorities and self-motivated amidst frequent interruptions will be an advantage to you.

Salary will be in a range up to 65K for those who can show a really tight match to the above experience requirements and the proven capability to deliver projects at desired levels of quality at budgeted or improved profit margins wherever possible.

Our weekly hours are 36.5, worked Monday to Friday.
