Manage and oversee numerous structural/architectural contracts with knowledge of refurbishment works. Structural Steel experience is required.
Key Tasks
1. Oversee projects from client award through to handover, fully coordinating the design, production & installation
2. Put together pricing for projects and submit for instruction from estimator
3. Ensure site surveys and pre-erect site surveys are done prior to commencement of projects
4. Liaise with Site Manager to ensure site is ready and inspected prior to project commencing
5. Understand the project requirements/ scope of works/ specifications etc.
6. Liaise with Site Manager, Client's site teams, engineers and internal and external Draughtsmen to review progress at each stage and ensure delivery of client project demand
7. Manage Site Teams and Sub-contractors when required
8. Review with customer on completion and ensure billing is done at each point (via QS)
9. Manage project budget and ensure projects are completed within budget
10. Manage sub-contractors in relation to galvanizing / powder coating
11. Liaise with the Company Buyer, Workshop and QS's successfully working as a team
12. Liaise with workshop foreman to identify and manage any day-to-day issues
13. Make sure all Health and Safety regulations and guidelines are adhered to
14. Ensure all material and fixings are ready to go to site as per program.
15. In coordination with the Site Manager be responsible for issuing RAMs, Early Warning Notifications
16. Occasional site work
17. Any other duties considered necessary to fulfil the role
Core Skills
Excellent knowledge and ability to read structural drawings, connection details and specifications of various quality.
. Highly organised
Ability to produce programs.
Positive attitude to problems and dealing with staff & Clients at all levels.
Understanding of Construction Management Process
Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects
Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills
Knowledge of MS Office
Excellent time management ability
Ability to multitask with strong understanding of core manager duties
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills
