What\'s the role ?

The Project Manager is an important role working within the Digital Solutions team and is responsible for delivering a variety of new projects and initiatives. The role will be primarily focused on our Digital Infrastructure projects, working with third party suppliers and telecoms operators to improve Lewisham\'s public digital infrastructure, 4G and 5G connectivity and improved broadband in our social housing estate.

In addition, the Project Manager will work on a variety of other technology and change projects across IT & Digital Services and the Corporate Programme Management Office (PMO)

What we\'re looking for

We are looking for a Project Manager with a specialism in Digital Infrastructure projects, with experience working with telecoms operators and infrastructure partners. You should be comfortable with matrix managing various resources, and bringing together a shared project plan to ensure we deliver real improvements to our residents.

You will have an open and collaborative mindset, and be able to engage with other Local Authorities and government groups to collaborate on initiatives, share learning and develop new tools to manage public infrastructure project delivery. You will work with the UX Design team and wider council delivery teams to increase digital inclusion and ensure social value from your projects is delivered to those residents of most need.

In addition, you will lead projects working with our wider IT & Digital Services team and our Corporate Programme Management Office (PMO). You will be working with a range of project methodologies including both Prince2 and Agile project management methodologies and techniques and be able to identify the most appropriate method for the project at hand. You will be expected to bring your experience of core project management responsibilities such as planning, reporting, risk management and benefits in an adaptable manner.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary

\xc2\xa349,707 to \xc2\xa351,783 (PO5) per annum

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
