The Role



Our award-winning Mission Systems Division deliver some of the world's most advanced aviation IT systems from our office in Lincoln. As a result of our continued success and business expansion we are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our award-winning team to support the on-going development of our bespoke mission systems.



As a Project Manager you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of our products and services. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to manage resources effectively to deliver projects, both internally and externally on time and within budget to a consistently high standard. Working directly for the Delivery Programme Manager, the main duties of the role will include:



Defining project scope, objectives and deliverables with key stakeholders



Creating detailed project plans, estimating timelines and resource requirements



Managing cross-functional project teams through the full lifecycle



Facilitating daily stand-ups and project status reviews



Monitor and manage the progress of individual projects within a defined programme, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, budget, and stringent quality standards.



Managing risks, issues, changes and dependencies across multiple work streams



Reporting project status to senior management and clients



Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners.



The Person



We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple projects across various teams. The ideal candidate possesses excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills, capable of driving projects to successful completion.



We are looking for a proactive, articulate, flexible and confident individual with excellent attention to detail and the discipline to produce consistently high-quality output. As part of a highly skilled team, you will have a track record of delivering projects, taking ownership, solving problems and be able to demonstrate a proactive approach from planning through to delivery.



You will need to exhibit a pragmatic approach in the use of Mission Systems processes as well as the ability to manage a number of concurrent tasks and deadlines. You will also be confident when liaising with both the team and external customers.



Qualifications and Experience



Applicants should have:



Recognised qualifications in Project Management, APM PMQ



Strong project management experience



Ability to evidence project delivery within a technically complex environment



Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project)



Comprehensive understanding and use of MS Office 365 products



Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).



Experience in project financial management and can evidence budgetary responsibility



The Location



The post is primarily based in Lincoln but may require the successful candidate to travel occasionally to other sites within the UK, a Full UK Driver's Licence and/or the ability to travel independently within the UK is therefore essential.



Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
