The Project Manager will manage a portfolio of IT projects spanning the Application, Infrastructure and Cyber realm, as agreed with the Portfolio Manager. You will be working with suppliers, business stakeholders and team members to scope, plan and deliver change through projects. This includes managing issues, risks and providing the interface between IT and the business as necessary to ensure projects are successfully completed, delivering the agreed objectives, meeting the agreed success criteria and time/budget constraints set out for each project. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also:

• With support from the Senior Project Manager/Programme Manager, initiate and actively manage large, multi-streamed projects strategic and/or commercial impact
• Deliver projects using an appropriate structured approach as set out within the project methodology processes (SDLC (Waterfall) and ADLC (Agile) used within BDO IT.
• Promote and actively sponsor the project management methodology within the IT Department
• Work to continually improve the BDO IT Project Methodology to fit the needs and requirements of delivery to the business
• Initiate projects in a controlled manner clearly defining project scope, success criteria, dependencies, assumptions and constraints with stakeholders
• Monitor and communicate progress and status throughout the project delivery process
• Control and manage the impact of changes to scope, budget and timescales through the agreed process
• Identify and facilitate the resolution of issues recognising interdependencies and escalating where appropriate

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be someone with:

• Project Management experience within the professional services industry or similar with a good understanding of project management disciplines
• Experience in softer skills, including the political and cultural aspects of project management
• Experience in running a diverse portfolio of projects including application development, software configuration and implementation, infrastructure deployment, Cyber Security initiatives and business change
• A qualification in an industry recognised project management discipline or accreditation e.g. Prince 2, APMP, PMP, Agile, Lean, DevOps or similar or can demonstrate experience in delivering projects using a structured approach
• Able to demonstrate examples of delivering end to end projects using both a sequential (Prince 2) and iterative (Agile) approach
• Experience in assisting in tender processes and resultant supplier management.
• Awareness of key technologies and emerging IT trends and delivery methodologies
• Experience working with external partners in delivering change
