Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and driven Project Manager (Small Works) to oversee the delivery of 30-60 concurrent small works projects across our portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, financial control, and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing labour, coordinating materials and equipment, tracking job progress, and maintaining profitability across all assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
Profit & Loss Management
Full accountability for the financial performance of each job
Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability targets are met
Prepare and review job cost reports and forecasts
Labour Management
Allocate and supervise internal and subcontracted labour
Ensure workforce productivity and compliance with safety standards
Resolve staffing issues and optimise resource utilisation
Kit & Materials Coordination
Organise and schedule delivery of tools, equipment, and materials
Ensure timely availability of resources to avoid project delays
Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams
Job Tracking & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of job progress, milestones, and variations
Use job tracking software to monitor timelines and deliverables
Provide regular updates to senior management and clients
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
Manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction
Conduct site visits and client meetings as required
Requirements
Proven experience managing multiple small works projects (ideally 30-60 jobs simultaneously)
Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, and P&L accountability
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Proficient in job tracking and project management software
Strong leadership and communication abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Desirable Qualifications
Degree or certification in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
CSCS card or equivalent site safety qualification
