About the role
------------------
Are you ready to drive meaningful change through expertly managed projects? As a Project Manager at NFU Mutual, you'll take ownership of large-scale initiatives up to 5 million in budget delivering them from concept to completion. This role is pivotal to our strategic transformation, ensuring that business-critical projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
In this dynamic and influential role, you'll manage one or more complex projects or programme workstreams through the full lifecycle--from definition and planning to delivery and transition into business as usual. You'll work closely with sponsors, business leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure clarity of scope, effective stakeholder engagement, and successful delivery of business outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Defining project scope, deliverables, and roles, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
Leading project planning, tracking, and reporting in line with NFU Mutual's Change Framework
Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to foster a collaborative, one-team approach.
Managing risks, issues, and dependencies to protect project outcomes and business operations.
Overseeing resource allocation and team leadership to ensure delivery excellence.
Supporting business case development and benefit realisation.
Ensuring effective communication and decision-making structures are in place.

About you

You're an experienced project leader with a passion for delivering strategic change. You bring a blend of technical expertise and people skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and inspire teams.
Your background includes:
Proven success in leading technology-enabled projects within a portfolio context
Experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams
Strong stakeholder engagement and supplier management capabilities
Deep understanding of project planning, risk management, and budget control
Proficiency with reporting tools and project tracking software
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing demands
Qualifications:
APM Project Management (PMQ) or equivalent (Essential)
Agile PM Practitioner (Desirable)
Change Management certification (Desirable)
