As Project Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of construction projects including within the social housing sector. Your gas or plumbing background and social housing experience will be pivotal in maintaining Sharp Technical's standards of excellence, while collaborating closely with both the Mechanical Director and Managing Director to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coordinate, and deliver construction projects within the social housing sector--on time, within scope, on budget, and to the highest quality.
Work closely with Mechanical Director and MD to drive project planning, execution, progress reporting, and risk mitigation.
Serve as principal liaison among clients, housing associations, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Ensure full compliance with gas/plumbing regulations, company H&S protocols, and industry standards.
Manage teams on-site--plumbers, engineers, subcontractors--promoting efficiency and workmanship.
Monitor financials: budgets, costs, variations, invoicing, and profitability.
Proactively identify and solve project challenges, deliver clear communication throughout project lifecycle.
Foster a positive, collaborative culture reflecting Sharp Technical's values and reputation.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Proven
gas or plumbing background
and hands-on experience in social housing projects.
Strong understanding of construction systems and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent organisational, project management, and multi-stakeholder communication skills.
Commercial acumen with practised budget and cost control.
Professional qualifications such as Gas Safe, City & Guilds, or relevant project management certifications are highly advantageous.
A proactive, team-oriented approach consistent with Sharp Technical's ethos of reliability, efficiency, and excellence.
