THE OPPORTUNITY



Project Planner





Team Swift are recruiting for a Project Planner to join our established Product Development team.



This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for the design and development of leisure vehicles, including caravans, motorhomes, and holiday homes. This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.



You will have the opportunity to be part of the growing popularity of the British staycation whilst creating industry leading products within an EPIC, fast-paced, dynamic and modern environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



Project Scheduling & Control



Create and maintain detailed project plans using recognised planning tools. Define timelines for design, engineering, proving, and manufacturing phases in line with the NPI process. Monitor progress against milestones and adjust schedules as required.

Resource Coordination



Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, CAD, Manufacturing, Procurement) to allocate resources effectively. Identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to maintain project flow.

Risk Management



Conduct risk assessments for timing and resource constraints. Highlight critical paths and escalate issues to Project Managers promptly.

Reporting & Communication



Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for stakeholders. Communicate schedule updates and changes clearly to all relevant teams.

Compliance & Standards



Ensure adherence to internal quality gates and legislative requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Support sustainability and compliance initiatives as part of project planning. Ensuring planning activities comply with ISO 9001 requirements and are fully documented. Compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

Technical Support



Triage all requests for technical support coming into the department and allocate resources to answer them. Monitor KPIs for service levels and escalate as required. Answer basic requests for technical assistance where possible.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



Skills & Qualifications



Proven experience in project planning within the automotive or leisure vehicle industries. Strong knowledge of NPI processes and stage-gate methodologies. Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent planning software. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Desirable Attributes



Understanding of manufacturing processes for leisure vehicles. Familiarity with legislative and sustainability requirements in product development. Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
