Job Description

Archangel Autonomy is seeking a proactive team member to bridge its PMO and Business Operations functions. This role is primarily to provide support to the Programme Management Office but will have strong ties to Finance and Business Operations.

A suitable candidate must understand Project Management methodology and tools, experience handling R&D project finance throughout the project lifecycle with different spending, reporting & auditing requirements, and have at least foundational accounting / bookkeeping qualification or equivalent. They must be highly organised, forward-thinking, adaptable, comfortable with modern finance / software tools, and motivated about building internal process and structure for the business to run on. This role could involve managing of smaller projects within the PMO if the candidate wanted to expand this way.

This role can be on a part-time basis for suitable candidates.

Example Responsibilities

Project Support:



Assisting the PM to maintain key project documentation Information management Assisting with meeting scheduling & agendas Thorough minute taking Monitoring and tracking actions Deputise the PM

Project Planning and Tracking:



Assisting with project scheduling Capturing progress against timelines Assisting PM with updating project plans Working with the Engineering and PMO team to help schedule near term events

Finance Support:



Monitoring project expenditures and procurement support Supporting financial planning, reporting and auditing Support operations to ensure

Stakeholder Management:



Assisting with communication and engagement with project stakeholders. Help build & deliver external project reports Help manage external suppliers

Risk and Issue Management:



Supporting the identification, assessment, and tracking of project risks and issues.

Quality Assurance:



Help maintain templates and ensuring good practice is followed Support internal audits and quality assurance checks

Essential Skills / Experience



Basic experience using different Project Management methodology and software tools Basic experience handling project finance throughout the project lifecycle with different spending, reporting & auditing requirements Have at least foundational accounting / bookkeeping qualification or equivalent Intermediate Excel Experience Have relevant soft skills: Organisation with good note taking and actions tracking, structured thinking, clear & concise communication skills, highly adaptable and comfortable with bringing clarity and structure from incomplete, unstructured data, able to spin multiple plates, commercial awareness and business savviness to apply judgment and work autonomously rather than following protocols.

Desired Skills or Experience



Project management qualification Experience working within or with a PMO function to deliver an advanced R&D tech program. Risk and Issue management experience Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project Defence / UAV / AI Industry knowledge and experience Commercial experience or working with contracts
