Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Barnardo's North Lanarkshire locality, to be part of a team working in partnership with Action For Children, Home-Start and Impact Arts. The service aims to provide universal whole family support across North Lanarskhire.



We are looking for experienced practitioners to provide outreach Support across North Lanarkshire, based in or around community hubs. The aim of the service is to help families to access the appropriate supports at the earliest possible time, ensuring a no wrong door approach.



Referrals may be received from anywhere in North Lanarkshire including self-referrals and referrals from family members. In order to break down barriers to receiving support, the service will operate 7 days a week including public holidays and evenings.



You should be a highly motivated, enthusiastic, committed, and experienced worker, able to use your own initiative. You should have experience of providing family support and understand the barriers that impact children and families and have experience of navigating families through these.



Those applying for the post should have an understanding of the GIRFEC Principles and The Promise framework and demonstrate how these will be applied in practice.



These posts will be 37 hours per week, but we may be able to consider applications for those wishing to work part time or job share. You must have the flexibility to work a rota which includes evenings and weekends and hold a valid driving license with access to own transport for the purposes of work.
