An exceptional opportunity based in Manchester City Centre has become available for a Property Administrator looking to develop their career and specialise within Commercial Property.
This role will suit an individual currently working within residential or commercial property administration, perhaps within a surveying practice, a lettings or an estate agency, who is hungry to develop and achieve more. Specific Business Rates administration experience is not essential for this position, but what is essential is a passion for the property sector, coupled with current/previous property administration experience, and an ambition to move your career forward, providing efficient administration support to the team.
Working for a highly reputable and successful organisation that covers Commercial Surveying such as Valuation, Property Management, and Lease Advisory, you will be part of the North West surveying team, focusing on Business Rates.
Your role will involve supporting the Surveyors with various administration tasks and responsibilities, including

• Identifying and control Business Rates liability on a variety of commercial properties including offices, industrial and retail units.
• Updating internal property databases and spreadsheets regularly to ensure the most relevant information is stored correctly.
• Liaising with the Valuation Office on supplying information.
• Liaising with the surveying team on vacant properties liable for Business Rates.
• Corresponding with local authorities via letter, email and telephone to update on occupants and vacant units.
• Document and data management on all rating matters including occupier leases and occupancy details.
• Assisting Rating Surveyor with budgets for senior management.

Our client is offering a basic salary of up to 30,000 depending on experience.
