Property Maintenance Operative (Self-Employed)

Daytime with availability

after 5pm

when required and

some weekends

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Property Maintenance Operative to support reactive and planned works across residential and small commercial sites. You'll handle a broad range of minor repairs and make-good jobs, delivering tidy, safe work and great customer service.

Key responsibilities

Attend reactive call-outs and planned maintenance visits. Carry out basic joinery (doors, hinges, trims, skirtings, shelving). Do minor plumbing (taps, wastes, WC fills/flushes, resealing). Patch, prep and paint (fill, sand, touch-ups). Tackle small flooring/tiling repairs. Fit/replace fixtures and ironmongery; like-for-like electrical fittings

within competence

. Keep sites tidy and record jobs with brief notes/photos.

We also carry out full renovations

--support strip-outs, prep and making-good as required.
What you'll need

Full UK driving licence

(essential)

Construction/site experience

(essential; formal qualifications not required) Willing and able to work

after 17:00

when needed and

occasional weekends

Strong H&S awareness and clean, quality workmanship Good communication and customer service Smartphone for job updates and photos

Nice to have (not essential):

CSCS card Own vehicle and basic trade tools/PPE

Self-employed (you invoice for hours worked; mileage/expenses by prior agreement)
