Job Description

Duties


Co-ordinating planned and reactive maintenance reported by staff and/or residents using the maintenance portal, email or phone.

Work directly with the Head of Facilities to ensure our homes provide a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable environment for all residents and care staff.

Ensure the upkeep of our property dashboard, dealing with compliance actions that have been raised by internal and external visits.

Work positively with the Head of Facilities, Service and Home Managers to achieve outcomes for the longer-term tasks such as fit-out, refurbishment, regular servicing, PPM checks, and compliance inspections and remedial work.

Take an active role in the monitoring of any risk areas regarding the homes operations and security and advise the management accordingly.

Respond and work with others to find solutions to emergencies events/issues, including out of hours and occasional weekends.

Undertake and/or coordinate minor repairs to fixtures and fittings as appropriate.

Assisting the Regional Maintenance manager in monitoring maintenance staff conduct, training, timesheets, appraisals, annual leave, and mileage claims

Liaise directly with external contractors to negotiate emergency call outs, site surveys, arrange site access, and contract renewals.

Represent the Head of Facilities in their absence, at executive briefings, progress meetings, H & S visits, Fire Service inspections, and housekeeping meetings.
