Property Portfolio Manager

Burnley, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and organised

Property Manager

to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our properties.

Hours are flexible but approx 5 per week and the rate of pay is 17.00 per hour.

This is a part-time role of 20 hours per month, but hours are pooled rather than fixed weekly. This means some weeks may require more time and others less, depending on business needs. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to concentrate more hours during busy periods (e.g. tenant changes or safety inspections) and fewer during quieter times.

This role involves managing tenant check-ins and check-outs, ensuring compliance with gas and electrical safety requirements, keeping accurate records, and liaising with contractors to resolve maintenance issues promptly. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, landlords, and service providers.

Responsibilities

Manage tenant check-ins and check-outs, including inventories and inspections. Arrange and track statutory safety checks (gas, electrical, fire, etc.) to ensure compliance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records and documentation. Act as the first point of contact for tenants, addressing maintenance issues and reporting problems. Liaise with contractors and service providers to organise timely repairs and ensure quality work. Monitor property standards and report any breaches or issues promptly. Support landlords and the wider team by providing regular updates on property condition, compliance status, and tenant matters.
Requirements

Experience in property management, lettings, or a related role (preferred but not essential). Strong organisational and record-keeping skills. Good knowledge of landlord compliance responsibilities (gas, electrical, fire safety, etc.) or willingness to learn. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle issues calmly and professionally, with a problem-solving mindset. Competent with Microsoft Office and property management systems (training can be provided). Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).
If you are proactive, organised, and committed to ensuring properties are managed to a high standard, we'd like to hear from you.
