About us

------------

We are UCL: a diverse community with the freedom to challenge and think differently. From cancer research to climate change, dementia to social inequality, the world is facing huge challenges and we're determined to solve them.

There has never been a more exciting time to join the Advancement office as we plan for our biggest ever fundraising and engagement campaign and support the delivery of the bicentennial programme in 2026. We are a team of exceptionally ambitious, creative and passionate individuals who work together to achieve remarkable things with a global impact, and we would love for you to be part of this exciting journey and our success.

Equity, diversity and inclusion is important to us. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone is encouraged to give their best in a place where their unique experiences, perspectives and skills are seen as valuable assets.

About the role

------------------

As a Prospect Development & Insight Officer, you will join a high-performing and supportive Prospect Development & Insight team as we prepare for UCL Advancement's landmark bicentennial fundraising campaign. Working collaboratively with the Head of Prospect Development & Insight, you will work in partnership with our highly ambitious Principal Giving team to identify and engage quality prospects, deliver accurate research and briefings, assist with prospect management processes, and maintain high-quality data that drives strategic decision-making.

In parallel, you will champion best practice in prospect management and research. That means safeguarding data integrity on our CRM and embedding processes that comply with GDPR and UCL's ethical standards. You'll also conduct targeted due diligence and briefing research, sharing findings in clear, compelling formats. Success in this role will see you providing high quality actionable prospect research and event briefs, making a positive contribution to prospect identification projects, forging collaborative relationships with Advancement colleagues, and elevating UCL's philanthropic impact.

We pride ourselves on working in partnership and inclusively with all members of our fundraising teams and this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact and play a pivotal role in delivering our fundraising goals.

We are happy to consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE - equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro-rata).

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.
