We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team within the hospitality and food service industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food preparation and kitchen operations, and experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments such as restaurants, hotels, or bars. The Assistant Manager will support the management team in overseeing daily activities, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Duties



Assist in supervising daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring high standards of service and food quality. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards. Manage team members, including scheduling shifts, delegating tasks, and providing training to ensure efficient workflow. Support in monitoring food safety compliance and implementing hygiene protocols across all areas of the kitchen and service areas. Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating culinary expertise to enhance customer satisfaction. Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring positive resolutions that uphold the establishment's reputation. Assist with stock control, ordering supplies, and managing inventory levels to minimise waste. Support promotional activities and special events to boost business growth. Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times within the premises.

Requirements



Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. Experience in team management, including training staff and overseeing service delivery. Familiarity with hospitality industry standards such as serving protocols and customer service excellence. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience with restaurant or culinary operations is highly desirable; hotel or barista experience is a plus. A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent communication skills.
