Job Description
The Cock and Lion is a well presented and popular pub just off of oxford street in central London. We benefit from a well zoned pub with upstairs dining room and a street level traditional vertical drinking bar.
Our food menu is a classic lite gastro menu featuring pub classics alongside some real show stopping in house creations. We have sales of between 3k to 5k per week.
The Kitchen is open 7 days a week from 12 midday through to 9pm.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working alone who should be self motivated and able to plan their prep and day well.
Duties
Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Carry out daily and weekly cleaning duties Maintain kitchen records and update them daily Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proven experience in supervising a kitchen team in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Proficient in food preparation techniques and production methods. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
