Purchase Ledger Assistant

to join our Central Finance Team.

About the Role



Reporting to the Group Finance Controller, you'll play a vital part in managing the purchase ledger across multiple companies within the group. From invoice processing to supplier payments and month-end support, you'll ensure the ledger runs efficiently and suppliers are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain and manage multiple purchase ledgers Process supplier invoices in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies Handle supplier queries and perform regular statement reconciliations Prepare and post BACS and Direct Debit payments Support the month-end process including accruals and internal reporting Assist with wider group finance tasks and provide cover for colleagues when needed

What We're Looking For



Proven experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience with Business Central is a bonus Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data Confident communicator who can build strong relationships across departments Able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines, particularly during month-end
