We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing purchase invoices and employee expenses across multiple companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team to support purchasing operations and the Management Accountant and Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
Process purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Prepare weekly payment schedule for approval and payment
Reconcile supplier statements to ledger balances and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the purchase ledger
Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to address queries and issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding purchasing
Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Experience
Two years experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role within the Property Management sector or compatible
Utilities Management and Residential Council Tax experience
Demonstrate ability to reconcile and resolve queries with external councils and agencies.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel
