Job Description

We are currently seeking a Purchase Ledger Apprentice to join our Accounts team in North Hykeham, Lincoln.



Reporting to a Supervisor and Financial Controller, you will receive on the job training in all areas of Purchase Ledger, with key responsibilities to include:



Key responsibilities to include:


Receiving, coding, and verifying incoming purchase invoices against delivery notes and purchase orders. Processing and authorising payments to suppliers, often in batches, and this is done in a timely manner. Reconciling supplier statements to Lindum Groups purchase ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Acting as the point of contact for suppliers and internal departments to handle queries related to invoices and payments. Producing company reports on expenditure and other financial data colleagues as appropriate. Maintaining organised filing systems for invoices and statements for easy access and audit purposes. Using inhouse software and MS Excel.

In addition to your time in the office, you will have the opportunity to study the AAT certificate in Accounting - Level 2 or equivalent. Study would be a mixture of online learning coupled with time at Lincoln College.



As the successful applicant, you will have an interest in Accounts having studied aa appropriate subject at A Level or equivalent. GCSE passes of 4 or above in Maths and English are also required.



There will also be potential to develop understanding of roles in the wider Finance team.
