About the role


In your role as Purchase Ledger, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to operate and maintain the purchase ledger. You will be enhancing budgetary control and accountability through ongoing process improvements.

What you will be doing


As a trusted part of the Finance team you will be responsible for:
Processing invoices and journals to accounting system within deadlines. Processing various payment runs with high levels of accuracy. Dealing with supplier queries. Proactively managing purchase ledger inbox and liaise closely with non-finance colleagues. Maintaining accurate accounting records, being proactive about resolving issues or queries. Processing sales invoices, credit control and reconciliations. Performing monthly bank reconciliations for corporate entities. Supporting the wider Finance team with project work and initiatives as required. Providing support and Value for Money activities and benchmarking costs. Responding to ad hoc requests. Source data and provide additional financial analysis when the business requires.

To be successful in the role you will have:
Experience within purchase ledger/accounting environment Experience of SUN systems an advantage Highly motivated with excellent organisations/ planning skills Excellent communication skills both written and oral Good knowledge of Microsoft Office an advantage
