Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a candidate either starting at junior level, or a more experienced candidate, to join a progressive, reputable and growing Electrical and Mechanical Contracting company. This role would suit an applicant who is looking for a varied and challenging role and to play a key part in a thriving business.

The Role:



Invoice Processing

- Ensure precise and timely processing of purchase invoices, with a focus on accuracy.

Invoice Hold Reporting

- Track disputed invoices, investigate issues and escalate where necessary.

Query Resolution

- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice or payment queries.

Supplier Reconciliations

- carry out reconciliations of supplier statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Housekeeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier details, terms, and contact information.

Credit Card Transactions:

Enter and reconcile company credit card transactions.

Payment Processing:

Prepare supplier payment runs in line with company schedules and approvals.

Filing & Record Keeping:

Ensure purchase ledger records, invoices, and correspondence are filed and maintained.

Communication:

Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues across the business.

Ad-hoc:

To support Accounts Managers with various ad-hoc tasks when required.

The Person:



Willingness to improve and prompt questions. Adaptable to change and able to work flexibly. Excellent communicator. Positive attitude to team working. Able to stay focused while working across various areas of the business. Excellent organisation and attention to detail. Knowledge of Excel and Office essential. Knowledge of Sage preferred but full training will be provided. Previous experience in construction industry/electrical or mechanical contracting advantageous but not essential.
