Synnovis is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual on a part-time basis to compliment our existing Purchasing Administrator in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing processes to support the Supply Chain Team.
You'll be responsible for managing a shared inbox, processing order requests, maintaining accurate data records, and liaising with both internal departments and external suppliers. Your contribution will help ensure that our procurement activities run efficiently and meet the needs of the wider organisation.

We are seeking to recruit an individual with administrative experience and previous experience of dealing with suppliers and stakeholders. Applicants should be capable of working independently and prioritising their workload, proficient in the use of Excel and the wider Microsoft Office Suite and have good written and oral communication skills.
The successful applicant will work alongside the Purchasing Coordinators and existing administrator to ensure our labs at the new central Hub and hospital sites are fully stocked and our data is up-to-date and robust. You will be responsible for monitoring the shared inbox, raising purchase order requests, contacting suppliers, compiling data, and assisting with new and ongoing projects within the department and the wider business.

At Synnovis, we are currently shaping the future of pathology services by creating a world-leading Hub and Spoke pathology network with our NHS partners. A large part of this modernisation will involve moving 70% of our services to a purpose built, state of the art Hub laboratory in the heart of London. For now, the job you are applying for will be based at one of our hospital sites however, from 1 April 2024 our people and services will start to move to our Hub laboratory in Blackfriars, Southwark, SE1, with some work remaining in refurbished essential services laboratories across our hospital network, focusing on the rapid turnover of urgent tests. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support with general email enquiries in the shared department inbox
Raise purchase requisition requests
Amend and maintain purchase orders
Communicating with vendors for delivery enquiries
Compiling data in excel
Generating reports
Assist with investigation and resolution of purchasing issues
New user account creation
Research and resolve aging invoice issues as necessary
Support the Purchasing Team with other general enquiries and administrative functions as required.
