About the role
We are currently seeking a
Purchasing Coordinator
to join our dynamic Purchasing/Planning team based in Cwmbran. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our business, working cross-functionally with multiple departments. In manufacturing, every item and component is either made in-house or sourced externally -- our team is central to both, through careful planning and strategic purchasing.
Primary Responsibilities
Processing purchasing requisitions
Monitoring and managing material shortages
Creating purchase orders and work orders
Sourcing materials and requesting supplier quotes
We're looking for someone who:
Is conscientious, reliable, and takes ownership of their work
Is enthusiastic about learning and open to continuous improvement
Is confident using a Windows laptop/PC
Communicates clearly and effectively, especially via email
Is proficient at searching for information on the internet
Is comfortable and professional when speaking to suppliers or colleagues on the phone
Job Qualifications:
Grade
C
or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
Experience
Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Understanding of on-line shopping (processes and platforms)
Desirable (but non-essential) skills
A basic understanding of statistics
Familiarity with ERP systems

The hours of work are: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm OR Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2pm.
