Role Overview:
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all purchasing activities for key Data Centre projects, to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods, materials, and services. This role ensures that supplier relationships are effectively managed, purchasing strategies align with business goals, and that all procurement activities support operational efficiency, cost savings, and quality standards.
What You'll be Doing
The role involves overseeing and leading the purchasing team, ensuring efficient procurement processes and streamlining operations for high-level service. It includes managing supplier relationships, sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and reliability. The role also focuses on aligning procurement with production planning and project schedules, forecasting demand, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Cross-functional collaboration with teams like finance, operations, and logistics ensures effective inventory management. Budget control is a key responsibility, including managing project costs and reporting to stakeholders. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with company policies, mitigates risks related to suppliers, and upholds ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
