Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and services to support our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and possess excellent negotiation skills.

Duties

Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services. Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate logistics to optimise supply chain efficiency. Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations. System & Data Management Maintain supplier records in Sage & Nulogy
Compliance & Audits

Ensure BRC & ISO documentation is completed and filed Coordinate testing, calibrations, and pest control audit paperwork Manage packing supplier approvals and certifications
Plastic Packaging Tax

Provide necessary data to Accounts for imported plastic products Create and manage product codes

Requirements

Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a similar industry. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations. Proficiency in using ERP systems Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
