Job Description

Role and Responsibility:



Supplier Sourcing and Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for critical components such as CTP 3.0 LFP batteries, inverters, solar panels, and charging protocols. Build and maintain long-term partnerships with manufacturers globally to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.

Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with WHIZAP's growth roadmap, including cost reduction initiatives, bulk purchasing, and risk mitigation for supply chain disruptions (e.g., material shortages in lithium or cobalt).

Cost Optimization and Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining high standards for energy density (160Wh/kg+), cycle life (6,000+ cycles), and compliance with IEC safety standards.

Inventory and Supply Chain Oversight: Manage inventory levels for hardware components, forecasting demand based on production schedules for MPC/SMPC units and HUB facilities. Utilize AI-driven tools to integrate procurement data with our operations platform for real-time visibility.

Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured materials meet UK/EU regulatory requirements, including environmental standards, IP protections, and certifications (e.g., CE, UL, IEC). Conduct supplier audits and quality checks to align with our sustainability goals and Net Zero commitments.

Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare and manage the procurement budget, providing regular reports on spend analysis, supplier performance, and market trends to senior leadership. Support financial planning for R&D and operational scaling.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:



Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of management or investment experience in the sustainable energy, new materials, electronics, or automotive sectors. Proven track record in sourcing technical components (e.g., batteries, inverters) from international markets, with experience in Asia-Pacific suppliers.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of EV charging technologies, battery systems (e.g., LFP chemistry, BMS), and new energy components.

Skills:

Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.

Possesses strong network resources in the cell, electronic components, and photovoltaic industries in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in China

Strong analytical skills for cost-benefit analysis and market research.

Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly advantageous for managing Asian suppliers.

Proficiency in procurement software and data analytics tools for forecasting and reporting.


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 55,000.00-65,000.00 per year
