Deanestor Limited is the leading manufacturer, supplier and installers of fitted furniture and equipment (FF&E), providing products and services into major new build construction projects across the UK. Due to continued expansion and recent successes, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Purchasing Manager to join our busy purchasing department. The successful candidate will lead purchasing strategy and supplier relationship management, focusing on suppliers in the UK, Asia, Europe, and beyond. You'll play a vital role in cost management, quality control, and ensuring supply continuity across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities:



Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers to ensure best value.

Evaluate supplier performance and manage risk across international operations.

Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. logistics, production, finance) to meet operational needs.

Drive sustainability and compliance in the international supply chain.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Stay ahead of market trends, tariffs, and geopolitical risks impacting procurement.

Work with business teams to support and utilise RFI's, RFP's and RFQ techniques

Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met

Support the procurement strategy for overseas suppliers and global sourcing.

Oversee risk assessments and execution of risk mitigation plans

Mentor team members

Sourcing and development of new suppliers and products

Preparation of orders and subcontracts maintenance of supplier database products components and suppliers costs

Monitor purchasing costs and report to senior management where necessary

Assist the production department in the maintenance and control of stock materials

Ensure the purchasing system complies with company operating procedures and assist in supplier rating surveys

Ensure that H&S Regulations are implemented with our suppliers and subcontractors.

Reduce waste in the supply chain and within the department

Communicating and liaising with all other departments as required

Maintain supplier & subcontractor records and performance

The Successful Applicant:



Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer in a global procurement environment.

Strong knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, and customs procedures.

Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.

Experience working with suppliers in Asia, Eastern Europe, or similar regions.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; CIPS qualification is a plus.

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Willingness to travel internationally when required.

Hold a full UK driving license.
