Purchasing manager Circa \xc2\xa347k Hybrid working possible

Manucomm is looking to recruit a Purchasing manager / Procurement manager join a successful manufacturing company based near Yeovil in a Purchasing , Materials Planner / MRP Coordinator role. The company is going through exciting times and are now looking for a Purchasing manager that can work closely with Key Personnel at the site and really put "your mark" on the role

The role will require you to ensure that the supply of raw materials meets the production schedule and maintain sufficient stock levels, to ensure operational and production continuity

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7Planning and purchasing raw material;
\xc2\xb7Assess raw material volume requirements against production plan and ensuring consistent levels to avoid production down time;
\xc2\xb7Undertaking periodical cost analysis of raw materials, to ensure maximum value for money is achieved;
\xc2\xb7Planning material deliveries in line with production and customer requirements;
\xc2\xb7Liaising with customers, suppliers and colleagues face to face and via phone and email;
\xc2\xb7Managing material deliveries from booking in to booking out;
\xc2\xb7Utilise and develop raw material planning system using excel spreadsheets;
\xc2\xb7Checking deliveries and material certificates as required;
\xc2\xb7Raising purchase orders as required;
\xc2\xb7Generation of supply and demand raw material data;
\xc2\xb7Continual stock check analysis and reporting;

The successful l Purchasing manager MUST have;
\xc2\xb7Previous experience of Purchasing materials in a manufacturing environment
\xc2\xb7Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar
\xc2\xb7Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
\xc2\xb7Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the costs, production, manufacture and customer order fulfilment
\xc2\xb7Results orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
\xc2\xb7Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience of working with suppliers

In return my client offers a salary of circa \xc2\xa347k DOE plus excellent working conditions including free parking, staff discounts and possible hybrid working

This role could suit a person who has worked previously as a Materials Controller, Materials Planner, Materials Scheduler, MRP Controller, Production Controller, procurement, Purchasing, logistics, supply chain, Stores Person, MRP, Materials, expeditor
And is commutable from Yeovil, Bridgwater, Wincanton, Warminster, Frome, Street, Wells, Shepton Mallet, Shaftesbury
