Job Description

The Advanced Client Solutions department is expanding their development team and are looking for a QA Lead reporting to the Lead Solution Developer to help drive the quality assurance of new SaaS legal products.


Roles and Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and modify QA strategies, methodologies, and best practices Plan, organise, and oversee the execution of testing activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborate with development team to integrate various testing into the software development lifecycle, largely within Azure and .Net based environments. Triage issues identified, prioritising them based on impact and urgency. Work closely with product and development personnel to ensure timely resolution of defects and feedback. Establish and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Communicate testing results and quality metrics to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related queries and concerns. Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.

Skills and Experience

Strong proficiency in cloud-based technologies, particularly Azure, and familiarity with .Net development environments and Test Plans. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, NUnit, or similar. Proven track record in leading QA teams and managing QA processes in a software development context. Extensive experience in testing web-based applications, ideally within the legal or document processing domain. Ability to analyse complex systems and identify potential quality issues. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

Person Specification

Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications in QA or software testing are a plus. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Adaptability and willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment. Passion for quality and innovation, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
