Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our vibrant early years team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. You will play a vital role in laying the foundation for lifelong learning, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and development through play-based and structured activities aligned with the EYFS framework. Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons in accordance with the EYFS curriculum.
Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment that supports all areas of child development.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress, and use this information to inform planning and support.
Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues to support each child's development.
Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and equal opportunities within the classroom.
Work collaboratively with early years educators and other staff to support individual needs and promote best practice.
Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils at all times, following the nursery policies and procedures.
Participate in regular staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or EYTS (Early Years Teacher Status).
Experience working with children in an EYFS setting (either in a school or nursery environment).
Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and child development principles.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching.
Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the wider school community.
Desirable
Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Experience working in a diverse or high-need setting.
Familiarity with observation and assessment tools (e.g., Tapestry, Learning Journals).
