Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Practitioner to join our team, specialising in early childhood education and childcare. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's development within a nurturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills while working closely with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental stages Supervise children during play, learning sessions, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that promote holistic development Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns Manage daily routines including meal times, naps, and hygiene practices Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare standards and organisational skills Support the organisation of nursery events and activities that encourage community involvement

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare, nursery settings or early childhood education Strong management and leadership abilities with a proactive approach Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Experience working with children, including those with special needs or behavioural challenges preferred Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as needed Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating organisational competence Passion for nurturing children's growth and fostering a safe, inclusive environment
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 9 - 20 per week
