About Us

Little Learners Preschool Limited is an independently owned private preschool located in Chichester. We are a small setting, caring for up to 30 children aged 2-4 years each day.

Position Available

We are seeking a part-time, qualified staff member to join our team on a one-year fixed contract, covering a maternity leave position. There is potential for the right candidate to be retained after this period.

Working Hours

The shifts we require are 9am -4 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.

21 hours weekly across 50 weeks of the year.

Additional hours will be available to cover for annual leave and sickness absence, flexibility to support with these hours is essential as we are a small team.

Candidate Requirements

Passionate, fun, and child-centred individual with a full and relevant Level 2 or 3 early years qualification as listed on the DofE qualification list.

Solid foundation of understanding EYFS and Safeguarding requirements.

A candidate who is professional, presentable and wants to achieve in a dedicated setting.

Role Responsibilities

General support throughout the setting.

Observing and assessing key children.

Being an effective team member and supporting management.

Responding to children's interests and helping to create an enriched learning environment.

Safeguarding and Recruitment

We are committed to rigorous safeguarding practices. Any offer of employment must have two satisfactory references before we can employ you. You will also have to have an enhanced disclosure check. All positions begin with a three-month trial period.

Pay and benefits

Pay is dependent on the qualifications you hold, scale is 12.21- 13.50 per hr,

paid monthly on the last working day. Additional hours are paid for any over time undertaken in that month.
