Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled time served Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of roofing systems and techniques, with the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. This role requires physical stamina and the capability to perform heavy lifting, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. Full clean drivers licence is essential as will be using work van to attend jobs.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications. Fabricate and build roofing components as needed. Perform heavy lifting and manual labour tasks associated with roofing projects. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times while working at heights. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to complete projects efficiently. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. Weld materials when required for specific roofing applications.

Experience

Proven experience in roofing or a related field is essential. Familiarity with hand tools and heavy machinery used in roofing tasks. Ability to plumb structures accurately and ensure proper alignment during installation. Previous experience in masonry work is advantageous but not mandatory. A background in carpentry will be beneficial for understanding structural requirements.
