Qualified Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support

Support, Educate, Nurture.

We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Primary aged pupil who requires full-time support to access the curriculum. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in the pupil's learning, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing.

What the role involves

:

Providing one-to-one support for a child with complex SEND needs Using breakaway areas and sensory rooms to help manage behaviour and support regulation Tailoring learning to the pupil's individual needs Building a positive, trusting relationship that encourages confidence and progress Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team

What we're looking for:

A minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with behavioural needs A calm, patient, and positive approach Confidence using strategies for behaviour and emotional regulation A team player who's flexible and committed

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.

Pay: 91.00-105.00 per day
