Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, as well as identifying and documenting defects. This position requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools, along with experience in both manual and automated testing processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for various software applications. Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure software quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand application functionality. Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira. Utilise test automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency. Perform load testing using LoadRunner to assess application performance under stress. Maintain version control using GitLab for all testing scripts and documentation. Provide feedback on software usability and functionality based on testing outcomes. Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

Proven experience in software testing with a strong understanding of both manual and automated testing techniques. Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks. Experience with RESTful APIs and performing API testing. Proficiency in Bash Unix shell scripting for automation tasks. Knowledge of database management systems, particularly DB2. Understanding of Waterfall methodologies in software development life cycles. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to identify issues effectively. Experience working in a Linux environment is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to articulate findings clearly to stakeholders.
