To be responsible for all Quality Assurance issues regarding raw materials, manufacture and packing of product produced. To ensure that all reasonable precautions with regard to 'due diligence' are taken, appropriate to the task in hand and that documented evidence supports this. To be an example to the production environment on correct procedure to be followed.
Key Responsibilities
To provide an effective Quality Assurance service to the business with specific emphasis on creating a 'right first time' operating system
To ensure that product is manufactured in a hygienic environment, safely and to specification in compliance with Food Legislation, Customer Standards and F Duerr & Sons Ltd site codes of practice
To ensure that product
'on hold'
is identified clearly and corrective procedure is followed with regard to the specific requirements of that item or product
To ensure good communications are maintained within the organisation
To deliver through training adequate skilled cover that assures the ability to work to an agreed standard performance
To maintain good employment practices relative to legislation, codes of practice, Company Policy and site rules
To work with all team members to use their knowledge and skills to identify problems and implement opportunities
To keep abreast of changes within the Company as a whole and promote and maintain a continuous improvement environment with regard to the quality of the products we produce.
To perform accurately, analysis of raw materials, product, process and packaging to determine its suitability for the purpose
To be aware of the individual products requirements and demonstrate the ability to identify problems and report on them
To be able to provide accurate and legible documentation to enable the confidence of the teams' due diligence.
To conduct audits relevant to the role i.e. Glass & Hard Plastic audits, GMP audits etc
To promote the Health & Safety rules and regulations of the Company. To take care for the Health & Safety of self and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions related to the work place. To co-operate fully with the management of the company with regard to any duty or requirement imposed on them by the relevant Personal Hygiene, CLAS and Health & Safety Legislation
Skills and Experience Required:

Desirable:
Experience in a similar role
Previous experience within QA in a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of QA systems
