We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Assistant to support our QC department in ensuring that all products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate must come from a background in the personal care industry. He or she will have experience assist in inspections, testing, documenting, and the implementing of quality control procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and quality tests on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
Identify and report product defects or deviations from specifications.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities.
Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., BRC, ISO 9001/GMP).
Support the Quality Control Manager in audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist QC Manager with product sampling
Become proficient in understanding the manufacturing process (by production line) and be willing to 'lead from the front' and assist in manufacturing if required.
Requirements:
Background in the personal care industry
Diploma or equivalent; a degree in science or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment preferred.
Familiarity with quality standards and testing procedures.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Working Environment:
Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
May require standing for long periods and occasional lifting.
Hours of work: 7:30am to 4pm (daily)
Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and strong scents
