We are now seeking a
Quality Control & Assurance Coordinator
to take ownership of product and process quality within our growing production team.
The Role
This position will suit someone with a background in electronics manufacturing who enjoys structure, precision, and quality systems.
You'll lead the daily quality control process across SMT, assembly, and test areas while supporting our ISO 9001 quality management system.
The role involves a blend of hands-on production line testing and product approval, AOI operation, and quality documentation management.Working closely with production and design, you'll ensure every product shipped meets our standards for workmanship, documentation, and traceability.
You'll also help coordinate quality reporting and communication with customers and suppliers, maintaining clear visibility of product quality throughout the build process.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and maintain internal and external audits under ISO 9001 standards
Carry out production line testing and final product approval prior to dispatch
Manage first-off approvals and batch release sign-off
Maintain inspection checklists, traveller documents, and digital QC records
Record and report non-conformances, defects, and corrective actions
Coordinate calibration records, inspection logs, and document control
Manage all NCR and RMA logs, coordinating with customers
Support supplier quality checks and incoming goods inspection
Maintain quality-related sections within the company's MRP system
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve process capability and yield
Tie up inward deliveries with purchase orders, highlighting any discrepancies such as short shipments
Work alongside the Office Administrator to input and update the MRP system
Customer & Supplier Interface
Liaise with customers regarding returns, quality feedback, and test data reports
Review and document customer RMAs and manage fault investigation process
Support supplier quality checks and goods-in inspections
Ensure quality reports and documentation are returned to customers in a timely, professional format
Requirements
Experience in electronics manufacturing, inspection, or QA/QC roles (essential)
Knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and documentation control
Experience in testing and approving electronic assemblies
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy
Strong communication and organisation skills
Comfortable working across production and office environments
Competent in Excel and digital data entry systems
Desirable
Knowledge of IPC 610 or similar inspection standards
Familiarity with AOI systems or visual inspection techniques
Experience conducting audits or internal process reviews
Background with small-batch or prototype manufacturing
Understanding of ESD, calibration, and traceability systems
Experience working with ISO 13485 (medical device quality systems) would be advantageous.
