Established in the early 1960s, we have evolved from a family-run contracting business into a prominent manufacturer of high-quality concrete products, including drainage pipes and agricultural cattle slats.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Coordinator to oversee and enhance the quality assurance processes for our precast concrete products. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing operations comply with internal quality standards including ISO 9001, industry regulations and kite marks.

Key Responsibilities:

Support with and monitor quality control systems to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations. Maintain and review QC documentation, including inspection records, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions in our quality lab and supporting the quality testing team. Input and manage data from quality and material tests accurately into internal databases or spreadsheets. Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and non-conformance reports. Assist in the coordination and preparation of internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits). Assist in maintaining and improving the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including supporting audits and corrective/preventive actions. Coordinate product testing, both internally in the QC lab and with external laboratories as needed. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency. Prepare and deliver reports on quality metrics and trends to management. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, enhancing efficiency, and increasing customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, ideally in precast concrete or a related industry. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards; prior experience with maintaining or auditing ISO 9001 systems is a strong asset. Experience inputting, managing, and analysing test data using spreadsheets or quality management software. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and organisational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and other data entry or quality software.
