Quality Control Inspector - Manchester





We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team and contribute to a range of exciting projects across Manchester and surrounding areas. These include new build residential, retrofit, and external wall remediation schemes.

Role Type



Full-time, predominantly site-based Projects are mainly Manchester-based, with occasional travel to other site locations as and when required
#

Key Responsibilities



Conduct weekly inspections of ongoing works, including subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications Identify and report issues with workmanship or materials to the Project Manager and Principal Contractor Maintain detailed site diaries, noting progress, delays, site visitors, weather conditions, and any incidents Use tools like Fieldview to manage tasks, submit reports, and track progress Provide practical advice to keep the building contract on track Address queries related to drawings and specifications, ensuring coordination and clarity Attend project sites and deliver services in line with building contract requirements

Requirements



Experience with renders, brickwork, facades, exterior inspections, and recladding of Higher Risk Buildings Understanding of design principles Familiarity with the Building Safety Act is desirable Proficiency in using modern technology, including tablets and Fieldview software Full driving licence and access to a car is ideal

Ideal Candidate



Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector, Assistant Site Manager, or Site Manager Chartership is an advantage but not essential Membership with CIOB or ICWCI is not required but candidates must be willing to work towards it
