Hollinbrow Precision Products (UK) Ltd specialises in the supply of thin metals and precision components, machined to customers exact requirements. Working with our Quality, Health & Safety Manager this role is responsible for carrying out quality assessment measures of all incoming raw materials, of first and last off parts during the production, and of final parts being dispatched to ensure all products are 100% in adherence with Hollinbrow's quality systems and customer requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

Read and understand Engineering Drawings and tolerances required by Customers. Understand the production plans, product specifications, and blueprints to understand the product requirements and deadlines. Carry out daily visual, physical and measurement inspections of incoming goods in line with company procedures to ensure that all raw materials are received to the required quality standards and customer requirements. Book into the system all acceptable material and reject all incoming raw materials which fail to meet quality expectations, reporting the issue to the Office/MD immediately. Use appropriate gauges, CMM and optical measuring equipment to obtain accurate measurements of raw materials, first and last-off products quality checks and any others measurements required. Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records. Complete job cards with full details of relevant inspections undertaken, measurement results etc. and ensure inspection records are fully maintained and traceable. Assist Works Supervisor and Quality, Health & Safety Manager to monitor production to ensure quality issues are identified at the earliest opportunity and lost time, waste material etc. are reduced. Educate/train the production team, through any rejection of parts produced, to ensure they understand and are able to reduce the level of quality control issues. Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met. Work with minimum supervision and in a co-operative and positive manner with all employees to meet the departmental and business objectives. Clean and maintain work area and environment, especially inspection room to a tidy and safe standard. Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures and Health & Safety Policies. Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Managing Director.

Qualification & Skills Requirements



Able to demonstrate a right to work in the UK via appropriate documentation. Educated to GCSE Standard or equivalent, with Maths & English essential. Education at HND /HNC level (or equivalent experience) in a related field is an advantage. Previous experience working in a production and quality inspection environment, and of using of inspection equipment (including Micrometer, Vernier, gauge height, CMM and optical measurement) is essential. Must be able to read detailed, sometimes complex, Engineering Drawings/Tolerances. ISO9001 experience (essential), with AS9100 experience being a distinct advantage. Computer literate (Microsoft Office ) and willingness to learn new IT programmes. Organised, detail focused and able to work to tight deadlines, with excellent written & verbal skills are essential. Able to work core hours (see below) and desire/flexibility to work occasional overtime to meet production requirements when required.

For the successful applicant we are offering:



Permanent position (subject to successful completion of 6 month probationary period). Competitive Annual salary - will be based on level of Quality Inspection/Technician experience and level of Quality Systems experience. Core hours of 39 hours per week (08.00 -16.30 Monday to Thursday and 08.00-15.30 Friday), with a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime opportunities available at busy times. 28 days holiday (including bank holidays). Pension scheme. Free parking. Access to lunchtime facilities and free drinks at breaktimes.
