QAagency is delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Cumbria. With a strong reputation in the sports sector, they are now looking to recruit a Quality Control Manager to oversee product quality, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and support day-to-day manufacturing operations.

This is a standalone role reporting directly to the Managing Director. You'll be responsible for monitoring raw materials, in-process checks and finished goods. You will ensure all products meet agreed specifications before dispatch. You'll also manage internal audit processes and act as the lead contact for external auditors and certification bodies.

Your role will cover data reporting, documentation and ongoing improvement of quality systems. You'll liaise with operational and technical teams to drive compliance and address any product faults or process issues. You'll also act as backup for the Head of Operations during periods of absence, contributing to wider site management.

On a day-to-day basis, you will run quality checks across the production floor, including visual inspections, process audits and material testing. You'll ensure all measurement data is logged, faults are flagged quickly and quarantined goods are clearly labelled. You'll maintain ISO documentation and oversee audits, customer complaints and corrective actions. You'll also support health and safety documentation, stocktakes and certification reviews.
