At RG42, we're a growing team passionate about quality and craftsmanship. Based in Treorchy, Wales, we design and manufacture high-quality, handmade rise and recline armchairs and matching sofas.

We are currently looking for an experienced

Quality Control Operative

to join our production team. You'll play a key role in maintaining our commitment to excellence and ensuring every piece that leaves our factory meets our high standards.

What you'll be doing:

You'll be responsible for checking completed upholstery products for stitching accuracy, fabric quality, and finishing consistency.
This will include:

Inspecting finished chairs and sofas for defects or inconsistencies Logging and reporting quality issues Communicating with Sewing Machinists and Upholsterers to resolve any issues Supporting continuous improvement of quality processes Ensuring all products meet company and customer expectations
You'll need to be detail-focused, confident working independently, and have a strong sense of responsibility for product quality.

Previous experience in upholstery, furniture manufacturing, or a similar hands-on quality control environment is highly desirable.

Work Pattern:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm Friday: 7:30am - 1:00pm

Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends

Experience:

Quality control: 1 year (preferred) Upholstery/furniture industry: 1 year (preferred)
