Job Description

The Polyclear Group, located within Millbrook, Southampton, is a leading UK manufacturer of food-grade polythene, packaging products. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Quality Control (QC) department, supporting the Technical and Compliance teams in maintaining and improving standards across the business.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring all production, documentation, and operational processes meet BRCGS, H&S, and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will assist in maintaining audit readiness, support quality control activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct quality checks and inspections on processes, and finished products. Support the maintenance and updating of BRCGS documentation, records, and traceability systems. Assist in internal audits and preparations for external BRCGS inspections. Monitor and report on Health & Safety (H&S) compliance across the site. Help develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support quality investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Collaborate with production and management teams to resolve quality or compliance issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and quality documentation. Assist in training and awareness sessions for staff on quality, BRCGS, and safety standards.

The Ideal Candidate

Has technical knowledge or experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or compliance. Understanding of BRCGS Food Packaging, HACCP, or similar quality systems (training provided). Awareness of Health & Safety (H&S) and SOP management in a manufacturing environment. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in documentation and reporting. Strong communicator with a proactive, team-focused attitude. Keen to develop a long-term career in quality, compliance, and technical management.

Pay: From 26,500.00 per year
