Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Quality Coordinator with experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical or similar industry on a full time, permanent basis in the UK.

Objective:

The Operations Assurance & Quality team have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a background in quality and project delivery to join them as a Quality Coordinator.

Supporting the Quality team in coordinating efforts to effectively deploy quality processes. This can apply to Quality Management activities such as management systems deployment, simple data analysis, administrative tasks, and support for planned assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support as directed by quality professionals in the successful implementation of quality strategies, plans, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Support the continued communication, development, and improvement of our Business Management System (BMS). Support the management system management of change process (including publishing of new or revised content and the removal of obsolete content, new project start-up, etc.)
  • Support in the communication, development, and improvement of other supporting systems such as Non-Conformance or customer satisfaction systems undertaking simple data analysis, guided by quality professionals
  • Support planned assurance activities through planning, execution, and reporting phases. This may include external assurance (e.g. suppliers and subcontractors)
  • Support quality professionals in the production of quality deliverables in support of overall project or programme implementation
  • Engage delivery and supporting functions to increase awareness of interfaces, working practices
  • Organising calendars, meetings, distribution lists, bulletins, etc.
  • Maintenance of all records demonstrating full traceability of changes
  • Support quality and management systems communications, training and inductions
Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Internal Auditor Qualification by recognised industry body (desirable).
  • Diploma/certification or local equivalent in Quality Management or Business Administration, or related discipline (desirable)
  • Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organisations, or equivalent (desirable)
Knowledge, skills, and experience:
  • Previous experience of management systems would be beneficial
  • Relevant experience within a related discipline / industry
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good level of communication skills in both written and verbal format essential
  • Operates in a structured and well organised manner
  • Ability to take ownership and endurance to see tasks completed
  • Experience of working internationally with differing cultures and geographies would be beneficial
  • Experience working in a related team environment would be beneficial
  • Proficient in the analysis of processes and data
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills and systematic thinking

  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-starting
