HyKit is at the forefront of the hydrogen power revolution. Our mission is to design and manufacture modular agile infrastructure to store, transport and dispense green hydrogen at point of use.

We bring significant expertise in Hydrogen systems and are building a dedicated team to deliver key infrastructure needed to support Hydrogen powered equipment.

Our first product will be released under a joint venture with JCB, mobile hydrogen refuellers to support JCB's green product transition. HyKit will manufacture these products at our new facility in Oxfordshire.

The Role



We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic Manufacturing Operations team. This role offers hands-on experience in delivering quality manufacturing solutions for cutting-edge hydrogen infrastructure. You'll collaborate with industry leaders and contribute to projects that are shaping the future of sustainable energy

Key Responsibilities



Assist in the creating and development of FAIR, SPC and verification of processes for hydrogen refuelling systems. Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation processes to ensure product reliability and safety. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering solutions into practical applications. Provide the required quality documentation related to systems and processes for the hydrogen products and operational procedures. Engage with the Production team to develop on-going continuous improvement for the reduction of non-conformances. Data analysis and creating KPIs in relation quality production. Support development builds & production and Inspection activities Support root cause analysis for any build issues. Implementing Plan, do, check, act. 8d activities. Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of advancements in hydrogen technology and infrastructure. Comply with HyKit's policies and procedures. Contribute to shaping a culture that reflects HyKit's values and enables HyKit to achieve its goals. Build good working relationships across the HyKit business.

Person Specification



Education, Qualifications and Experience



REQUIRED

Professional engineering experience in Quality Systems, ideally in automotive, process or heavy-machinery sectors. Ideally with a Degree level with suitable experience in Manufacturing Engineering solutions for automotive, oil/ gas or other regulated industry or related disciplines. Or relevant experience in quality systems. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
PREFERRED

Ideally experience with projects related to hydrogen/ compressed gas systems or renewable energy, automotive or a highly regulated sector. Familiarity with quality standards and requirements in hydrogen applications or a highly regulated sector. Proficiency in drawings, metrology, lean methodology principles, kaizen, Continuous improvement activities and engineering design tools. Data-driven: comfortable with Excel & Powerpoint, for analysis and reporting KPIs.

TECHNICAL

Measurement systems, Quality Systems, Continuous improvements, 8d, risk analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent computer skills including high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Able to work across multiple teams with ability to influence process capability Strong presenting skills. Good report writing skills - clear, concise and well structured. An appreciation of, and an ability to, positively resolve issues arising from different cultures.

Work Environment



This role will based at our Bicester HQ and requires visits to joint-venture sites, test sites and supplier locations.
