Overview


We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team, the Quality Engineer plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing product and process quality across FermionX Manufacturing. Working under the guidance of the Quality Manager, this role ensures that products meet IPC and customer standards, that processes are continuously improved, and that regulatory compliance is consistently achieved.

This hands-on position is critical to the investigation and resolution of quality issues, execution of audits, and support of ongoing certification to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. The Quality Engineer also contributes to improving manufacturing efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence through data-driven problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:



Quality Control and Inspection:



Perform in-process and final inspections using X-ray and AOI systems to IPC-A-610 standards Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and Production Part Approval Process reports (PPAP) for customer approval Conduct ESD audits on benches and floors, ensuring issues are logged and addressed

Defect Analysis and Root Cause:



Investigate internal non-conformities using inspection and AOI data Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Complete internal and customer non-conformance reports accurately and promptly

Compliance and Auditing:



Conduct internal audits in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards Support external audits from customers and certification bodies Perform supplier quality audits and site visits as required

Process and Continuous Improvement:



Monitor manufacturing processes to identify trends or inefficiencies Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce waste and defects Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality-related improvement initiatives

Calibration and Documentation:



Manage calibration schedules for inspection and test equipment, including customer-owned assets Ensure accurate and up-to-date logging of quality data and audit findings Contribute to the development and maintenance of quality records and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:



Experience in a Quality Engineering role within electronics manufacturing Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 systems Familiar with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ESD, and FAIR requirements Skilled in inspection tools including AOI and X-ray systems Capable of conducting audits and presenting findings professionally Proficient in root cause analysis and non-conformance reporting Competent in using ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools

Desirable :



IPC and ESD certification Knowledge of PPAP, RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals and PFAS regulations Familiarity with ERP/MRP and quality data reporting tools Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma

Pay: 28,000.00-35,000.00 per year
