Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities of Quality Engineer:

Manage the identification, investigation, and timely closure of NCRs, ensuring robust root cause analysis and effective corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence. Monitor, analyse, and reduce COPQ across the business by identifying waste, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering measurable cost savings. Support supplier quality development through the effective use of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), building strong supplier partnerships while holding them accountable for meeting agreed standards. Take a proactive approach to customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution that enhances customer experience while implementing preventative measures to safeguard long-term quality. Embed quality principles on the shop floor through hands-on coaching and practical problem-solving. Plan, execute, and support internal audits as well as external and customer certification audits, ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards. Manage the calibration programme for inspection and measurement equipment, ensuring accuracy and traceability. Develop and maintain quality plans aligned with customer and internal requirements, ensuring compliance and verification at key production stages.

Key Requirements of Quality Engineer:

Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing or engineering. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 (AS9100, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 desirable). ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (Lead Auditor desirable). Excellent interpersonal skills. Methodical and organised approach to tasks and workload. IOSH / NEBOSH - desirable. Engineering qualifications - desirable.
